Xin chào - Hi, I’m Nhung, a Southern Vietnamese teacher who believes that learning a language should feel clear, supportive, and practical.
I have taught Vietnamese to Vietnamese heritage learners from France, the US, and Canada, as well as international students from the US, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, and Brazil. My students come from different backgrounds and levels, and many of them have shared that they are satisfied with the progress they achieve through my lessons.
I teach with patience and care, adapting each lesson to the learner’s level, pace, and goals. My aim is to help students feel confident using Vietnamese naturally in real-life situations, step by step.

1. Who the courses are for:
My Vietnamese courses are suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to fluent learners.
Students often come to me because they:
• Understand Vietnamese but can’t speak → we practice role-plays and real-life conversations
• Speak but aren’t understood → I guide you with clear pronunciation techniques
• Can’t follow native speakers → you practice deep listening at home, then speak through real topics in class
2. What we focus on:
• Listening and understanding native speakers
• Speaking naturally in daily situations
• Clear pronunciation so others can understand you
• Reading and writing when needed
You can work on all four skills, or focus mainly on listening and speaking, depending on your goals.
3. Teaching approach and learning process:
After the first lesson, I create a personalized learning roadmap based on your level, pace, and learning style.
Each level has its own clear learning path, so you always know:
• what you are learning
• why you are learning it
• how it helps you communicate better
Lessons are patient, practical, and flexible, and are adjusted regularly to match your progress and goals.
4. Learning style and class experience:
Lessons are designed to help you speak as much as possible.
We learn through:
• Short video clips and visual materials to support understanding
• Real-life examples and guided conversations
• Simple games and interactive activities to reinforce learning
• Role-plays that reflect daily situations
My goal is to create a safe, supportive learning environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and practicing Vietnamese actively.
5. Learning outcomes:
My goal is to help you:
• Speak Vietnamese clearly and comfortably
• Gain confidence in real-life conversations
• Understand not only the language, but also Vietnamese culture and daily life
